Citizens United

Has blighted

Our founding principles

Hampering,

Our historic constitutional

Heart and soul

If we don’t shake the ghouls off the mule

The people will no longer rule

We have been fooled

Now we're on damage control

To bring liberty and prosperity for all

Ding the bell for this corporate brawl

“We the people,” will not take the fall!

Corporations are no more a person?

Than fascism isn't their assertion!

No longer can they dictate if you live or die

But watch the trans-fat on those French fries

We must guard our every liberty with diligent eyes

For they'll assault with a facade

Hide behind the house of God

Strike like a firing squad

No time

For hem and haw

When we awake

It's already a law 

Now they control the vegetables we eat

Genetic altering

Without labeling

If you get sick

You have no one to blame

The bottom line is their game

They're altering our meats

They'll destroy the organic industry

Deregulation is their conceit

As they pollute the air, water, and food we eat.

“We the People” will bleed their greed
  

Oil spills, they won’t clean up

Cancer-causing chemicals they'll dump

In our back yards

Their Egos,

On us,

They'll bombard!

They’ll inveigle us with goods that don’t last

Take our food for

Dirty energy and gas

Buying the news and the freedom of the press

If you think this is as far as it will get

Think again!

Religious freedom

They’ll condemn

Hatred toward one another the news will spin

War for profit is their binge

Independence will be grim

Our retirements they eye

We'll work till we die

Unions replaced for a slave wage

Third world poverty is their stage

Express discontent

And experience their rage

For they'll be the Congress and the President

And they’ll take every last cent!
